2022 Vin de la Vallée
Inspired by white blends from the Southern Rhone Valley in France, our Washington State blend of 51% Grenache Blanc & 49% Viognier, is a fresh spin on an Old-World favorite.
Tasting notes
Delicate and bright, this wine enchants your senses with orange blossom, lime zest, and white peach. Smooth on the palate, it finishes dry with a minerality that carries from bouquet to finish. Best enjoyed in the 300+ days of Yakima Valley sun.
Production notes
The Viognier was hand-harvested and pressed on October 6th. The juice was kept cold until the Grenache Blanc was harvested on October 18th. The two lots were blended in tank and co-fermented at low temperatures to preserve the delicate aromatics. The wine fermented to dry, which took 13 days. After fermentation, the wine was chilled to inhibit any spontaneous malolactic fermentation from occurring. The wine was heat/cold stabilized and sterile filtered prior to being bottled on February 3rd, 2023.
